CFNU Indigenous Nursing Scholarship
Supporting Indigenous Nursing Students: CFNU’s $1,000 Scholarship for New Brunswick
Are you an Indigenous student working toward your nursing career? The Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) can help make your journey a little easier.
Through a new scholarship initiative, CFNU established a yearly $1,000 scholarship to support Indigenous students enrolled in accredited nursing programs—whether you’re pursuing your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or your Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma.
Why This Scholarship Matters
CFNU is committed to fostering future leaders in nursing, especially within Indigenous communities. By providing financial support, the federation hopes to encourage Indigenous students to not only succeed academically but also to grow as leaders within their provincial nurses’ unions in the future. For New Brunswick, the successful candidate is selected by the New Brunswick Nurses Union (NBNU), ensuring the process is tailored to local needs and values.
