NBNU Second-Year Nursing Scholarships
We want to support you as you move through your nursing studies at a Francophone or Anglophone college or university in New Brunswick. We award two $1,000 scholarships annually—one to a full-time second-year student enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and one to a full-time second-year student in a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma program.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for a scholarship if you’re in your second year of a nursing program. You must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled full-time in a recognized BScN or LPN program
- Be a relative of a past or present NBNU member
- Maintain good academic standing
How to apply
Applications are due by September 30 of each year. You will need to:
- Complete the online or downloadable application form below
- Submit a 250-word essay on “The importance of unionism in the work life of nurses”
- Attach your academic record (i.e., transcript from your first year and your second-year mid-term marks) or a letter of reference from a professor
