As a grassroots organization, we are strongest when we are connected outside of the system we operate in. Our Union holds important events where we gather to advocate for each other and use our voices for a common purpose.

  • NBNU Annual General Meeting

    October 20-22, 2025

    Delta Beauséjour Moncton

    Our Annual General Meeting brings members, Local leaders and the Board of Directors together to vote on key priorities and resolutions set the union’s direction for the year ahead.

  • NBNU Executive Council

    March 31-April 2, 2026

    The Executive Council meets at least once a year to resolve issues that nurses face at the Local level. The Council, which is made up of Local Presidents, reviews and approves reports and provides input to the Board during these meetings.

  • National Nursing Week

    May 11-17, 2026

    A week-long celebration to recognize the dedication and vital role of nurses across New Brunswick and beyond. This is also a moment to reflect on our shared achievements and show the strength of our collective voice.

  • Eastern Labour School

    June 2026

    Fredericton, NB

    The Eastern Labour School brings together members from across the province to strengthen their union knowledge, leadership skills and advocacy efforts. The program includes engaging courses, interactive workshops and collaborative discussions to navigate the workplace, promote solidarity and advance the nursing profession.

  • CFNU Biennial Convention

    June 2027

    The CFNU Biennial Convention is a major gathering of nurses’ union members from across Canada, held every two years by the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions. It presents an open platform to discuss key issues affecting the nursing profession, set national priorities, share strategies and participate in workshops that shape the future of nursing in Canada.
