CFNU Nursing Scholarship
We’re a member of the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU). The national organization offers annual $1,000 scholarships to a nursing student in each province.
In New Brunswick, our union selects the recipient. We give the scholarship to a student who has the potential for nursing leadership within our union in the future.
Eligibility
You can apply if you’re enrolled in the first year of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or a Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) diploma program and meet the following requirements:
- Be a relative of a past or present NBNU member
- Maintain good academic standing
How to apply
Applications are due by September 30 of each year. You will need to:
- Complete an online or downloadable application form below
- Submit a 250-word essay on “The importance of unionism in the work life of nurses”
- Include a transcript or letter of reference from a teacher
