NBNU celebrates its 50th anniversary representing New Brunswick nurses at its Annual General Meeting
FREDERICTON – More than 200 nurses from across the province are gathered in Fredericton to celebrate NBNU’s 50th anniversary representing nurses in New Brunswick, as well as to conduct important union business, at the Annual General Meeting taking place this week.
“I am excited to welcome union leaders from across the country as well as other labour leaders to mark this occasion,” said Paula Doucet, NBNU President. “This is an opportunity to reflect on the strides New Brunswick nurses have made in the past 50 years, and to commit to continuing that work into the future.”
Nurses will also be watching the results of the provincial election with interest this evening. Official business will begin tomorrow morning until Thursday noon.
